Did you know that PT Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (SEAPI), a subsidiary of PT Bakrie Pipe Industries (BPI), has a dedicated jetty facility integrated within its site? This jetty marks a significant milestone in supporting national infrastructure development.
With the operation of the jetty starting on October 24, 2024 in Bakauheni, South Lampung, BPI is now able to accelerate the distribution of steel pipes directly from the factory to project sites, without relying on third-party ports.
Milestone: First Shipment and Material Distribution from BPI Jetty
BPI successfully carried out the First Shipment of ASTM A252 Grade 3 steel pipes, with diameters ranging from 20” to 44” and lengths between 35 to 64 meters. In addition, the jetty facilitated the distribution of 2,600 tons of Hot Rolled Coil (HRC), marking its role as a key logistics hub for the company.

- Large capacity: Capable of handling large-diameter steel pipes, including HSAW up to 140 inches.
- Logistics efficiency: Reduces land transportation costs and shortens delivery times.
- Production–distribution integration: LSAW and HSAW pipes can be loaded directly onto vessels from the factory area.
