WFH Without Becoming Work From Hospital! Stay Healthy & Productive at Hom

February 17, 2025

Work From Home (WFH) offers flexibility, but without proper management, it can negatively impact health. Sitting for long periods, lack of movement, and stress can lead to Work From Hospital! Just like Bakrie Pipe Industries ensures quality and safety in every product, we also need to prioritize our health and balance while working from home. To stay healthy and productive, here are four tips:

  1. Create a Balanced Routine
Set clear working hours, such as starting at 8:00 AM and finishing at 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Set aside time for light exercise in the morning or evening. Use alarms or reminder apps to ensure consistency and prevent working beyond the set hours.
  2. Set Up Ergonomic Workspace
Use a chair with a backrest and adjustable height so that your feet are comfortably flat on the floor. Ensure the monitor screen is at eye level to reduce neck strain. Use a comfortable keyboard and mouse to avoid hand or wrist injuries caused by improper work posture
  3. Move and Take Regular Breaks
Avoid sitting in the same position for more than an hour. Perform simple stretches like shoulder rolls, stretching your arms, and walking around the room for 5-10 minutes. If possible, use a standing desk or a chair that allows for periodic changes in your working posture to maintain good circulation.
  4. Maintain a healthy diet and stay hydrated.
Prepare healthy meals before starting work to avoid consuming instant food or junk food. Eat high-fiber and protein-rich foods like vegetables, fruits, and nuts to stay full longer. Drink at least 2 liters of water a day using a large water bottle as a reminder.
