PT Bakrie Pipe Industries - Pioneer & Leader of Steel Pipe Manufacturers in Indonesia
As a pioneer of the first, largest, and leading steel pipe factory in Indonesia, PT Bakrie Pipe Industries was founded by the late Achmad Bakrie under the name "Talang Tirta". Then in 1981, the subsidiary of PT Bakrie & Brothers changed its name to PT Bakrie Pipe Industries (BPI). BPI produces high-quality steel pipes for various sectors and applications such as construction and infrastructure, water lines, oil and gas, water pipe, and many more.
BPI has a production capacity of up to 310,000 MT per year by utilizing High-Frequency Electric Resistance Welding (HF-ERW).
Furthermore, through its subsidiary, PT South East Asian Pipe Industries (SEAPI), located in Lampung, BPI produces steel pipes using the Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding (LSAW) method with a capacity of 120,000 MT per year.
In line with the company's strategy in 2019, BPI expanded its business by building a spiral pipe factory known as Helical Submerged Arc Welding (HSAW) located in SEAPI, Lampung with capacity of 70,000 MT per year.
